The love is an illusion – Sheldonismos

When a female is a witness of a physical exhibition of domain, she produces the hormone oxitocina. If the two interrelate this it will create the biochemical reaction in the brain that the people ingenuously interpret like “falling in love”.

Chess: Not so rapid!

Problem of Chess #3

Me elegró very much that have caught fire with this section and have taken part it activates and massively (?) in the previous problem.

In this opportunity we raise a bit the pole and happen at an average difficulty level.

I update the podium

  • Leonel: 1 Point
  • Juan L: 1 Point

Remember that there are no awards, beyond the satisfaction on having solved the problems =)

Make difficult: I come up Problem Chess: Not so rapid! Problem Chess: Not so rapid! Half notes give mate in an action.

Clarification: As I always say to them, if someone knows the problem in advance, or if it discovers the answer, he can suggest it or give some track without giving the explicit answer, to allow to the rest to keep on playing. In this case, the answer "suggested" also will cost a point =)

I listen to them …

Solution:

The solution is in the comments. I do not spend it here so that it is not tantalizing. The interested parties can find it reading easily further down

As for the points …

  • 1 point to Leonel for solving the principal thing (to discover the "trampita")
  • 1 point to Kamarada Grone for the originality of his answer.
  • 1 point to Hurly-burly for an original answer gives all the solutions +.

Why are the days shorter?

Axis of the Earth after earthquake of ChileAxis of the Earth after earthquake of Chile was read in many means, that after the earthquake of Chile, the axis of rotation of the ground had moved (8 centimeters) and the days had been shy.

Really, this happened: the days after the earthquake of Chile are shorter. To be precise, there are 1.26 shorter microseconds (one microsecond is one millionth part of the second one).
So if you were one of those that one felt sickly, it is because the ground turns more rapid

Now well …

Why are the days shorter?

The short explanation would be the following one:

Them tectonic badges moved during the earthquake, this did that badges make themselves comfortable better and occupy less place: the Earth after the earthquake is more uniform and compact.
This did that the moment of inertia of the Earth diminishes and consequently the rotation speed increases: the days are shorter

So that it is understood better, a well-known example: If one day they saw someone who skates, they will see that when it turns and extends his arms, the moment of inertia increases and the draft speed diminishes. On the contrary, when it shrinks his arms and becomes “more uniform”, the moment of inertia diminishes and the draft speed increases.

The same happened to the Earth.

it had displaced (8 centimeters) and the days had been shy.

Why are the days shorter?

The short explanation would be the following one:

Them tectonic badges moved during the earthquake, this did that badges make themselves comfortable better and

occupy less place: the Earth after the earthquake is more uniform and compact.
This did that the angular moment of the Earth diminishes and consequently the speed of

rotation increases: the days are shorter

So that it is understood better, the angular moment depends on the form of the object that it is rotating.

If one day they saw someone who skates, they will see that when it turns and extends his arms,

draft speed diminishes. On the contrary, when it shrinks his arms and is done “more

uniform”, the angular moment diminishes and the draft speed increases.

Science popularization – Ludwig Wittgenstein

(…) to explain a scientific question to them he would need the whole course and not a conference of one hour. Another alternative would have been to give them what calls itself a conference a science popularization conference, that is to say, faced to make them believe that they understand a thing that in fact they do not understand and to reward what I believe that it is one of the lowest desires of the modern people, namely, the superficial curiosity on the last discoveries of the science.

Why are so many geniuses?

So many times I have seen how the people are called a genius; from the same way it goes on with some insects that are called a centipede – not because they have this number of feet, but because most of the people do not count up to fourteen.
